Samuel Apooyin
Samuel Apooyin is a writer, kingdom ambassador, pastor, and mentor with a passion for raising young people to fulfil purpose and reflect God's excellence. His mission centers on inspiring the next generation to live purposefully and shine as ambassadors of Christ in every sphere of influence.
He studied Veterinary Medicine at the University of Ibadan, Nigeria, where he held several leadership roles and consistently ranked top of his class, graduating with four distinctions. This academic excellence, combined with his spiritual fervor, forms the foundation of his approach to holistic student development.
Samuel served as Vice President of the Assembly of Unibadan Christian Students Fellowship in 2023 and as President in 2024. Through these roles, he has mentored countless students in balancing spiritual growth with academic excellence.
Through his life, leadership, and writing, Samuel continues to inspire many to burn for Jesus while shining in their academic and professional pursuits. His firsthand experience navigating the challenges of maintaining spiritual devotion while excelling academically makes him uniquely qualified to guide others on this journey.
The Journey Behind the Book
"Burning For Jesus & Shining in Class" was born out of Samuel's personal journey and his work with students who struggled to maintain their spiritual fervor while pursuing academic excellence. After witnessing many young Christians either compromise their faith for academic success or neglect their studies in favor of spiritual activities, Samuel was compelled to share a better way.
The book draws from years of research, personal experience, and biblical wisdom to provide a comprehensive guide for students who desire to honor God in every aspect of their lives, including their studies. Each chapter addresses common challenges faced by Christian students and offers practical solutions rooted in biblical principles.
What began as a series of mentoring sessions and workshop materials has evolved into this powerful resource that has already transformed the lives of many students in its pre-release form. Samuel's hope is that this book will equip a generation of young believers to be outstanding ambassadors for Christ in academic environments around the world.
